One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to invite friends and family over, and gather around the fire pit.   1. Hi, I am going to throw this out there, and see if anyone else has thought about this idea, done it, or has any pros/cons to it. I am looking to rebuild our deck, and doing some stacked stone seating walls, and a base for a fire pit, and maybe either slate top/edges, and want to do a smallish firepit. The idea originally was some type of bowl with about a 12″ fire ring, and glass pebbles, but then I thought what would be cool was use a colored glass vessel sink where you could get a cool pattern/lighted area. Any thoughts? D
