Hummm. I’ve never considered diapers as a gardening tool but apparently they are quite useful! They can be used to create a non toxic environmentally friendly gardening gel. This absorbent gel can stretch out your watering schedule twice as long. How convenient is that? This would be perfect if you are in a dry climate or experiencing a drought and looking for places to save money.
Diapers are incredibly absorbent. That’s kind of the point of them. Using their innards in the garden makes the soil super absorbent as well. Cool. I really like how they can be used to start seeds growing. It’s amazing. Sprinkle and go. Science experiment anyone? I want to try using them to preserve cut flowers too. The crystals look cool.
This gel is basically a polymer. You can buy it at a garden store but trying it with a diaper seems more fun. I’m not sure I would use it near food but I’m all about trying it on the other plants! Think that’s fun? Check out Instuctables and their unusual uses for diapers here.
Here’s the video… Enjoy!
