We shared the above photo on our facebook page and got a ton of requests on how to actually do this. “What kind of tarp?”… “How to make sure the hay bales don’t move?” And a few other good questions.

I did some digging and could not find a lot of detailed information. However, it does look like since the above photo is clearly taken on a farm setting that they may have used a hay tarp to line the pool. Here’s a link to where you can buy hay tarp online. I was able to find an “instructable” on the topic but it was not written by the creator of the pool so again, much of the detail is speculation.

You dont, if you want a permanent pool shell out the big bucks..

You could use the same filters used for Intex above ground pools. You know, the large plastic pools with the blow-up blue ring around the top. Simple.

If you want to.filter it Walmart during the summer sell pool pumps the ones they have for them above ground pools and on the tarp cut out holes (done this before) and super glue them to where the water doesn’t come out and down here in Texas there’s hay Bails everywhere so there’s that and rope you need rope lol. You can by the rope from home depo and or Lowes .
