There will always be a time where you can help out a friend or family member in need. These are 5 different “freezer” meals that are just perfect for friends with new babies, bereavement or other special needs situation.

As everyone leads a hectic life these days, keeping your family fed can be a real challenge. It’s possible to cook all sorts of things yourself, but this all takes time. Ready meals are one solution, but these are all quite high in salt and fat. It’s actually quite easy for you to recreate some popular freezer meals yourself so that you know exactly what your family is eating. Most of the popular freezer meals are ok to keep frozen for around 3 months and will taste just as good as the day you cooked them.
Chicken with Wild Rice
You will need:
– 1 4.3oz box of wild rice
– 1 can of chicken soup
– 1 can of mushroom soup
– 1 cup water
– 1 can mushrooms
– 6 chicken thighs
– 1 cup flaked almonds
Start by mixing the rice with the seasoning included in the packet. Then add the water, and both the cans of soup. Add the mushrooms and stir.
Pour the mixture into a freezer safe dish. You can easily use the takeaway style foil containers. Then put some chicken pieces on the top and cover with the almonds.
Freeze the meal until you are ready to cook. When you are simply cook when it is thawed for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
It’s easy to make a big batch of potato soup, so you can keep some frozen. You will need:
– 32oz of chicken or vegetable stock
– 1 can chicken soup
– 1 small onion chopped
– 1/4 teaspoon garlic
– 8 oz cream cheese
– 30 oz bag of shredded hash browns
