Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is pretty cool stuff and in its pure and concentrated form it’s powerful stuff that can explode, set things on fire, and burn skin. Um… but don’t we all have some in our medicine cabinet? Yes, but it’s way diluted. The peroxide sold in stores is only 3-6%. Even though it’s diluted it’s still awesome and has many more uses than just cleaning cuts and scraps.
The Savings Experiment has some interesting ways that hydrogen peroxide can be used around the house as a cleaner. Check them out and let me know what you think! It can help with stubborn underarm stains (when mixed with dish soap). I’ve had a lot of success with this method. It can also be used to sanitize everything from toothbrushes to counters. It also can be used to treat mold. I’ve heard that you can pour it from the bottle directly onto blood stains and stain removing miracle will happen.
I’m not sure about the mold cleaning tip. Mold can be dangerous and needs to be seriously dealt with! Be sure to not patch a bullet hole with a band-aid. Here is some info on mold and mildew.
