Aren’t these snacks festive?! Just because they look gross doesn’t mean that they don’t taste delicious! My tummy is kind of sensitive so the ‘worms in dirt’ might do me in but all the rest look pretty safe. I love how Halloween brings out the creative Martha Stewart in us all.
There are so many variety of cheese balls and they all look brilliant! Look out party people! My spread is going to be a good one this year! It’s definitely the season to eat, drink, and be scary.

Halloween is a great time of the year for both kids and adults. You can make the time even more memorable by preparing some tasty Halloween appetizer ideas. This guide will look at several fun snacks for Halloween parties. These treats will go down a storm with children and grownups.
Some tasty treats for Halloween:
– Egg Eye Balls
– Sick Pumpkin
– Mummified Sausage Rolls
– Cheese Witches Brooms
Egg Eye Balls
For this recipe you will need:
– Eggs
– Mayonnaise
– Vinegar
– Black Olive
– Red Food coloring
– Toothpick
– Salt
– Mustard
Start by making deviled eggs by hard boiling eggs, shelling and then cutting in half. Put the cooked yolks into a bowl and mash with a fork until they are broken into crumbs. Then mix with mayonnaise, eggs, vinegar, salt and mustard. Then spoon this mixture into the egg whites.
With the deviled eggs prepared then add a slice of black olive onto the centre of the yolk to form the pupil. Then use a toothpick with some red food coloring to streak veins on the surface of the white eyeball.
Sick Pumpkin
A very fitting way to serve guacamole at Halloween is to have it thrown up from a pumpkin, this is also something that’s very easy to do. You will need:
– Large Plate
– Pumpkin
– Knife
– Guacamole
– Chips
Start by carving the pumpkin however you want. It’s works best if the mouth is quite large and low down. Wash the inside of the pumpkin out to remove all seeds. Then put the pumpkin onto a plate surrounded by the chips. In the middle spoon the guacamole inside the mouth of the pumpkin and out onto the plate. This makes it look like the pumpkin is being sick onto the plate.
Mummified Sausage Rolls
Mummified sausage rolls are the ideal finger snack at a Halloween party and they are adorable. You will need the following:
– Hot Dogs or Sausages or Veggie Dogs
– Biscuit Dough – either home made or store bought
– Mustard
Start by rolling out the biscuit dough so that it’s a large flat sheet. Then cut up into strips which are about 1 inch in width. Take your hot dogs and wrap the dough around them. Bake for around 12 minutes in a preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Then all that’s left to do is add two dots of mustard for eyes. The same idea can be done using veggie dogs for a vegetarian option.
Cheese Witches Brooms
Cheese witches brooms are extremely easy to make and look amazing. They are one of my personal favorite snacks for Halloween parties because they look so cool. To make these you will need:
– Stringy Cheese, or a cheese which won’t break
– Thin bread stick
– String
To make these you need to use either a cheese which doesn’t crumble when it’s bent, or a cheese string. Cheese strings are perfect because they can be cut into strips which resemble the bristles of a broom.
Once you have done this wrap the cheese around a thin bread stick which forms the handle of the broom. Secure the cheese onto the bread stick by using a piece of thin string. This is the most difficult part of the recipe, but all your hard work will be worth it in the end.
