I found this fabulous DIY over at Wimp and I’m so excited to feature it here today! Just be prepared…it will take you back to the days of scrunchies and glitter eye shadow. That’s right. We’re going back to the 90’s. We are making bangles today! (I know that they were popular in the 40’s too but I’m drawing from my personal experience.) I love this idea. It’s so much fun!
This is a really easy one for the kids! Popsicle sticks are a universal crafting material. They are even useful for education. We used them in my geometry class to design bridges. Now we are going to use them to make bracelets. For this DIY you need some popsicle sticks, some boiling water, a small cup for shaping, and decorating supplies. I think the sticks used in this tutorial are actually tongue depressors…but no matter. I can’t see them being any different that popsicle sticks, can you?
Another thing that makes great bangles? Toothbrushes! I used to do that all the time when I was little. I had an Elmo one that I wore everywhere. It is the simplest DIY ever and Instructables has the simplest tutorial ever. Find it here. Here is also a video tutorial too (for you visual learners).
Here’s the link to the tutorial…
