You do need a special ingredient to get the perfect fried chicken. This recipe calls for instant mashed potato powder. Interesting! I never would have guessed that could make chicken crunch. Anothering thing that is done to make it extra crispy is to coat the chicken twice, letting it sit for 20 minutes in between coats and before cooking. I can’t wait to try this!
