The first match was invented by an English chemist by the name of John Walker. There were other matches before that but his was the first to be mass produced and relatively safe for use. How far we’ve come from using a match to light a candle! I guess this is match dominos.
What would you do with 20 boxes of matches and a whole lot of time on your hands? Maybe something like this. I have to say this is a very very dangerous idea. Don’t try this at home. Seriously don’t. Doing this indoors, on a wooden table, as any Boy Scout would know, is a terrible horrible no good idea. This one is for the firebug in all of us. Not mention, if you were to light one of those matches a day it would last you over 16 years. What a waste.
You history buffs can brush up on your knowledge of friction light here. I get bored easy when it comes to history but this was very interesting.
